Keestash started from a simple conviction: password management should be open, auditable, and never dependent on trusting a closed-source vendor with your most sensitive data.

Ucar Solutions
Keestash is a product of Ucar Solutions, a software company headquartered in Germany. We build security-focused software for individuals and organisations who take data protection seriously — not as a checkbox, but as a core requirement.
Our approach is pragmatic: the server is open source (AGPLv3) so anyone can inspect the security-critical backend, self-host it, or contribute to it. The clients — web app and iOS app — are proprietary products built and maintained by Ucar Solutions.
We are based in Germany and operate entirely under EU law. Your data stays in Europe. Our engineering decisions are guided by the DSGVO — not as an afterthought, but from the first line of code.
Our Mission
Take back control of your digital identity
Most people reuse passwords because strong, unique passwords are impossible to remember. Most password managers ask you to trust them completely — with no way to verify what they actually do with your data.
We think that's wrong. Keestash is our answer: a password manager where the encryption is end-to-end and verifiable, the server code is public, and you can point the clients at your own infrastructure if you don't want to trust anyone.
We built Keestash in Germany because we believe in the European approach to privacy — as a fundamental right, not a product feature.
Ucar Solutions is a small, focused company. We don't have a "growth at all costs" mandate. Our goal is to build software that works reliably, protects your data rigorously, and earns trust through transparency rather than marketing.
